1. Who We Are

Capture is a personal attendance proof app designed to help users record work-related events such as arrival, exit, break start, and break end. The app is intended for personal recordkeeping and evidence support.

2. Information the App Handles

Depending on the features you use, Capture may handle the following information on your device:

3. How the Information Is Used

The app uses this information only to provide its core functions, including:

4. Local Storage and Device Processing

Capture is designed as an offline-first application. Attendance data is stored locally on the device. The app uses local encryption to protect stored records.

At the time of this policy, Capture does not require a remote server to perform its main functions and does not silently upload attendance records during normal use.

Important: the app is designed around immutable event records. Within the app experience, recorded attendance events are intended to remain append-only for traceability.

5. Camera Access

If enabled by the user, Capture can open the device camera after an event is recorded so the user may attach a photo as personal evidence. Photos are compressed and stored locally on the device.

6. Location Access

If enabled by the user, Capture can request location access while the app is in use in order to attach location coordinates to an event. Location is optional and is not collected unless the user enables this feature.

7. Biometrics and Device Security

If enabled, Capture may use device-level biometric authentication or a local PIN to protect access to stored records. Biometric authentication is handled by the operating system and Capture does not store your biometric data.

8. Exports and Sharing

Capture can generate PDF and CSV files when the user explicitly chooses to export data. These exported files may include event details, calculations, optional photo references or embedded photo previews, and integrity information.

Once exported or shared outside the app, the handling of those files depends on the services, apps, or storage locations chosen by the user.

9. Ads, Analytics, and Third-Party Tracking

Capture does not include advertising, behavioral profiling, or third-party analytics for user tracking based on the current app implementation.

10. Data Sharing

Capture does not sell personal data. The app does not share attendance records with an employer, public service, or third party automatically. Data leaves the device only when the user deliberately exports or shares it.

11. Data Retention

Data remains on the device until removed through device-level actions such as clearing app data, uninstalling the app, or replacing files through future backup or restore workflows. Exported files retained outside the app are controlled by the user.

12. Children

Capture is intended for adult users in a professional context and is not directed to children.

13. Your Choices

You can control several privacy-sensitive features directly in the app, including:

14. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect app changes, legal requirements, or store policy requirements. When updated, the effective date on this page should also be updated.
